Off the crossbar!

Two seconds yesterday is no good to the profit/loss but were happy they ran well, if Mourilyan had got going quicker he may well have got there, but it wasn't to be.

Today is probably the day of the hardest races on the five day card, but we feel we may have found the winners of the cavalry charges. But then we would wouldn't we!!

We like the look of three very nice priced horses today.

2.10 Couttes Glorious Stakes 1m 4f - Indian Spirit
A race not known for producing double figure priced winners but this one can very much buck that trend today. Five lengths behind Doctor Fremantle last time out over this distance is very appealing for for this race. Promoted to fourth in the group race he very much looked like laying it down to the winner 2f out before petering out and becoming one paced. Richard Hughes likes this horse and feels a nice win can be had with it. At around 12/1 he should run a good solid race.

2.45 Rolf Group Stewards Sprint Stakes 6f - Harrison George
Richard Fahey has sent five of the runners for this, and all of his runners have to be taken seriously. But the one that stands out best is the selection. He has a great draw, Ryan Moore in the saddle and will very much like the bit of juice in the ground. You could argue that another Fahey runner (Sunrise Safari) holds him on their last run, but this course will suit better and with the draw advantage he now has we feel a big run is on the table for him at 7/1.

3.25 Totesport Mile 1m - Docofthebay EW
An old favourite of ours, this horse loves these big fields, having run very well in the past at this course. Needs to step up on his form this year but the best time to catch him is fresh and again with Ryan Moore up (we don't sponsor him ha ha) he looks sure to run his race. Not the most reliable but on a fair mark and a decent draw. Each-way at around 25/1 he will be carrying our hopes in the big one!

Enjoy the days sport!
